Chris came to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from Dartmouth College, where he majored in computer science and competed on the varsity sailing team. While in college, Chris received a grant from the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation to develop a voice-powered medication adherence assistant. Chris matriculated to the MD program via the FlexMed Early Assurance Program in 2021.
While at Icahn, Chris co-founded the Sinai Sauna Society, published over twenty articles in peer-reviewed journals, and volunteered on the admissions committee. He helped win the Mount Sinai Dean’s Cup in basketball (2023, 2024) and pickleball (2024). Chris volunteered with the East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership as a phlebotomist and served as a mentor for First Generation Scholars. Finally, Chris participated in an exchange program with the departments of anesthesiology and cardiology at Tokyo Women’s Medical University.
Chris would like to thank his partner and his family for their unwavering support, and to thank his friends in medical school for an awesome four years. Chris is grateful to his mentors Dr. Elisha Dickstein, Dr. Adam Levine, Dr. Paul Shekane and Dr. Alopi Patel for inspiring him to pursue training in anesthesiology. Finally, Chris thanks the Chinese American Medical Society, the Chinese American Physicians’ Society and Alpha Omega Alpha for supporting his studies.
Chris will graduate with his MD degree and continue his residency training in anesthesiology at the Mount Sinai Hospital.
