Krishna Patel is a medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. At Mount Sinai Hospital, he is actively involved in research having published numerous first-author papers in the areas of oncology and global health, and he also served on the Student Executive Committee of the East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership as Finance Chair. He is the founder of Health & Education Alliance, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to building partnerships between health systems and school districts and creating supportive communities for students and families. Krishna aspires to apply into a combined Medicine/Psychiatry program and has received multiple awards including the Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) and an induction into Mount Sinai’s chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS). He holds a B.S. in Economics and B.A in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania’s Life Sciences and Management Program, and an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention from the University of Oxford where he was a Thouron Scholar.
