Anagha Kumar

Anagha came to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from Harvard College, where she majored in the History of Science and Neuroscience. Prior to attending Icahn Mount Sinai, Anagha founded and led multiple initiatives focused on aging, intergenerational connection, and patient support, including The Concordium and the Harvard Patient Support Corps. She entered the MD program in 2022.

While at Icahn Mount Sinai, Anagha has been involved in the East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership (EHHOP), the student-run, physician-supervised free clinic as a Chronic Care Senior Clinician, Teaching Senior, and Consulting Group Chair. She has also served as Co-President of Icahn Mount Sinai’s chapter of the American Medical Association, founded the Aging in America Nexus course, and led OurHealth NYC, organizing a citywide summit on South Asian cardiovascular health.

Her work spans geriatrics, cardiology, health policy, community-based care, and digital health innovation, with a particular focus on leveraging technology to improve cardiovascular outcomes, access, and continuity of care for aging populations. She has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and national presentations, including award-winning research in geriatric education.

Anagha would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their unwavering support and inspiration throughout her medical education.

Anagha will graduate with her MD degree and continue her Internal Medicine residency training at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
