While there, she competed on the varsity soccer and lightweight crew teams, earning NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors. She was inducted into the Pi Tau Sigma Honor Society and received the Thomas Sheridan Award for her capstone project, which enabled at-home autonomous testing for peripheral neuropathy.
Before beginning medical school, Brittany worked for Bain & Company as a management consultant. She matriculated to the MD program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai via the FlexMed Early Assurance Program in 2022.
While at Icahn Mount Sinai, Brittany served two terms as Student Body Treasurer, co-founded the first student-led normothermic machine perfusion program in the United States, and co-founded the Icahn Mount Sinai chapter of Achilles International, where she guided visually impaired athletes in races ranging from 5Ks to half marathons. She was selected as a Global Surgery Scholar in Uganda, where she led studies on patient satisfaction, surgical access, and outcomes. Throughout medical school, Brittany contributed to over twenty peer-reviewed manuscripts and national presentations spanning artificial intelligence in organ transplantation, orthopedic outcomes, and gender bias in surgical residency applications. She also helped lead the Sinai Strikers Soccer team to two league championships.
Brittany would like to thank her parents, siblings, and fiancé, Sam, for their unwavering support and encouragement, as well as her friends for the memories that will last a lifetime. She is grateful to her mentors, Dr. Adam Levine and Dr. John Lui, for inspiring her to pursue anesthesiology, Dr. Linda Zhang for supporting her global health and research endeavors, Dr. Zeeshan Akhtar for his mentorship in liver transplantation, and Dr. Craig Katz for his guidance throughout medical school.
